About Me
From an early age, I learned to survive by staying small, quiet, and performing for the comfort of others. What began as a survival strategy grew into a pattern that carried into adulthood. Relationships and decisions were all shaped by external expectations rather than my inner truth. When the pandemic stripped away my familiar structure, the image I had built crumbled, leaving me face-to-face with a deeper realization: the performance had silenced my authentic self.
In that time of isolation, a drumming meditation became my doorway back to truth. Through sound, movement, breath, and ceremony, I began to unravel years of conditioning, shed the masks of performance, and reclaim the Self that had always been hidden away. This journey showed me that the path is not about fixing or healing, but about remembering, reclaiming, and returning home.
Today, I offer a creative, embodied approach through somatics and art for those navigating mental health challenges, addiction, and survivorship. I create safe spaces for individuals and groups to release performance, let go of expectations, and reclaim their inner authority through authentic expression of truth. Trust begins when it's felt. Are you ready to move from codependency to liberation, from external validation to embodied Self?
U-nity Is A Space for Embodied Liberation
U-nity exists for the silenced ones, the survivors, the ones who were told they were too much or not enough. Founded by Alex, a certified somatic yoga instructor, breathwork facilitator, sound healer, and creative artist, U-nity is for those who lost pieces of themselves trying to belong, the survivors of trauma and marginalized folks whose bodies hold stories of resilience and resistance. This isn't another wellness space asking you to love and light your way through systemic oppression or personal trauma. This is liberation that honors all of you. Your anger, your boundaries, and the deep knowing in your body that goes beyond words.
Integrative Somatic Arts Therapy brings together movement, breath, sound, and creative expression to help you reconnect with your body's own truth. Because your body remembers everything, even what your mind has forgotten or pushed away.
This work doesn't fix you because you are “broken”. It creates space for you to remember who you were before the world taught you to shrink, to reclaim the parts of yourself you had to hide to survive, and to return home to your authentic self. Your body already knows how to heal. It knows the difference between real safety and performed compliance. U-nity simply holds space for that remembering to unfold. Through practice, through community, through the radical act of taking up space exactly as you are.
